Umamaheshwaram Siva Temple Mahabubnagar Andhra Pradesh

Umamaheswaram is located at a distance of 150 KM from Hyderabad and close by Achampet in Mahabubnagar District. Umamaheswaram temple is situated on very tall hills of Nallamala forests and dates back to 2nd century A.D. To reach the temple, one has to ride on very steep and dangerous curves of 5 mile length from the bottom of the hill. 
It is in the picturesque Nallamala forest range around 100 kilometers away from Hyderabad on the Hyderabad-Srisailam highway.Umamaheshwaram is the northern gateway of Srisailam — one of the jyotirlingas. It is mentioned in many Vedas that visit to a Srisailam without Umamaheswaram is incomplete.

Mogalrajapuram caves Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh

The caves are located in the heart of Vijayawada City at "Kasthuribaipet and Mogalrajpuram". The caves are said to be excavated in 5th Century AD. The idols of Lord Nataraja, Vinayaka and Arthanareeswara can be seen here.

The Mogalarajapuram temple has an 'Ardhanarisvara' statue which is thought to be the earliest in South India and one of its kind. One of the caves has an overhanging cornice with artificial windows. The idols of Lord Nataraja and Vinayaka in one cave are still in good condition compared to the other worn out images of deities. It is also a place of archaeological importance.
